UpstairsI always feel safer upstairs.
I can't explain why, not even to myself.

Not completely safe. But always safer.
Always.
Upstairs is another side of life,
a side where you can feel safe when you are less safe than you were before.
And upstairs is a place where you can feel screams
long after their reasons have disappeared.

Upstairs, tears are colder
Cold enough to cool down every heart downstairs
Upstairs is where I used to be with a man who truly loved me
Although not enough.

Upstairs is where I am safely unsafe, alone with my hard heart,
looking out on the wintermoon in the summer.
It's cold enough to freeze the love that was not

Inside my BubbleIt's like I am inside a bubble
Filled with piss and funny feelings and
I am patching the bubble up with my soul because I can't let it burst
Leave outside the feelings that are cruel
Leave them outside
Until somebody wants to open their heart
For real

Some things last
I suppose
Dusty and left alone by those who created them
But they still exist

I can feel my eyes turn into glass
They become fossilized
Until I can't remember what I was thinking a minute ago

About: Another one for those of my watchers who wanted to see something different from me! I recently moved to a new apartment in a new city and - started a new life. I started it creatively by finally being able to do things my way (as I am not living with anyone). It's been fun and great and this is one of my ideas realised. Hope you like it!

M is for magnificent!

I love the idea and composition, and the silhouette of the cat is painted so nicely, looks very elegant and delicate, beautifully stylized with its slim legs and curved tail! And I like how it´s looking up to the stars, gives a very dreamy feel

It´s cool that the stars are actually hanging down instead of being just painted, reminds a bit of a mobile which enhances the nocturnal setting ^^ I also like how there´s a contrast between those bigger golden "star-shaped" stars and the realistic ones in the background - from that I kind of get the impression that the ones hanging down have a symbolic meaning to them, representing dreams maybe? Which leads me to the nice thought that someone maybe hung them there just for that kitty

I find the decoration even more effective with those stars hanging down in the background, so harmonical all in all!

So much for the painting, it´s great to hear you started all over new now!

Kinda wish I could do that as well at the moment, just breaking out experiencing stuff ... But I gotta ask, isn´t living alone awfully lonely at times? I sometimes feel lonely although I`m not actually alone, so I find the thought of really living without anyone a pretty scary one somehow ...

Thank you so much! Great to get a comment for you, and I remembered even more why I missed you so much - you just "Get" it. Without me even saying anything, you can feel what I feel. I feel just what you wrote about this piece. And I love it so much

As for living alone. Well, when you're used to being with someone all the time, it's a big change! But then, as you may know, I moved away from home at 13 and was terribly lonely. Then, I didn't have anything to really do. I do now. I can paint, it's holiday, I love living alone!

And my boyfriend comes to see me once a week, and so does other people, so no. I don't mind at all. I think I even need loneliness to find myself again. After all, living with someone is all about fitting them into your daily routines, and while having them around can be nice, you're not free. You can't be yourself 100 pct. I can now. I love it!
